Robotics
Robotics places high demands on integrated gearboxes in terms of precision, dynamics and durability. In the field of collaborative robotics, payload and dead weight play a key role due to the impact pulse limitation. Costs for maintenance and spare parts should be kept as low as possible. At the same time, unexpected failures must be avoided.
What are the challenges?
Load capacity
Condition monitoring
Positioning error
Our innovation
Due to the freedom of play in combination with a high transmission ratio, the positioning accuracy for serial kinematics can be significantly increased compared to existing solutions. The higher transmission ratio also allows to halve the installation space while maintaining the same transmission. Thanks to the prevailing self-locking, the safety of the system can be guaranteed in a voltage-free state. Brakes are thus obsolete and lead to an overall leaner drive unit. The integration of sensors directly in the gearbox creates additional installation space, since external sensors are eliminated. Maintenance intervals can be planned and downtime reduced because of the learning software. Hence, our solution creates the basis for networked production in the Industry 4.0 environment.
